I’m so excited to introduce a new addition to Women Weave Baskets — a line of stunning, one-of-a-kind jackets handmade by women’s tribes in Rajasthan, India. These pieces are truly wearable art, each one crafted from reclaimed and vintage materials. What makes them even more special? They’re fully reversible — giving you two unique jackets in one.
I first discovered these jackets while traveling through Goa. I stumbled upon a small shop, and the explosion of color, texture, and craftsmanship immediately stopped me in my tracks. Each jacket told a story — of the hands that made it, of old fabrics given new life, and of a timeless connection between beauty and sustainability. I knew right then that I wanted to share them with the Women Weave Baskets community.
Every jacket is completely unique — no two are the same. By wearing one, you’re not only embracing slow, mindful fashion but also supporting an important cause. A portion of the proceeds from every sale will go directly back to the women artisans in Rajasthan, helping to preserve their traditional crafts and empower their communities.
Another part of the proceeds will go toward animal welfare in India — specifically, the care of homeless and neglected dogs. Street dogs face heartbreaking conditions in many parts of India, and I’m passionate about contributing to efforts that provide them with food, medical care, and safety.
These jackets represent everything Women Weave Baskets stands for: sustainability, craftsmanship, and compassion — for people, for animals, and for the planet.
